There are several things I am working on over the next few days, which may be of interest:
- Lance Armstrong’s interview with Oprah Winfrey about his use of steroids and other performance enhancing drugs while competing in events such as The Tour de France.
- New York State is poised to pass legislation today which will become the toughest in the nation for purchasing a gun and will ban assault weapons and high-capacity ammunition clips.
- Jodie Foster made quite headlines on Sunday Night at the Golden Globe awards. While accepting her Cecil B. DeMille Award, she alluded to the rumors that have circulated around Hollywood for years that she was a lesbian. Did she actually come out and does she need to?
- Finally, on the subject of coming out, Victor Garber has come out publicly for the first time. How important is it that a celebrity publicly come out? Is Jodie Foster right?
